The Teachers
Language Arts Suite 401 is taught by Mr. Jonah J. Hooper, a graduate of Shaw University who comes to DTMS from Goldsboro, NC where he taught in the Wayne County Public School System.  His interests include ministry, reading, playing percussion, and sports.  Mr. Hooper has also served as a Youth Pastor & Church Administrator. Mr. Hooper has a life-long passion for people and hopes to someday serve the people by entering the political arena after his years in education. Mr. Hooper's leadership and love for people have lead to great success in the classroom.

Math Suite 401 is taught by Mr. HintonMr. Hinton is a graduate of Bishop McGuiness High School and Xavier University in New Orleans.  He has a BS Degree in Business Administration.  He has 12 years of work experience as an engineering designer for IBM, and 3 years as a programmer/analyst for Pepsi Cola in Winston/Salem.  His interests include photography, and sports, especially Carolina Panthers. 


Suite 403 is taught by Mrs. Harlan, originally from Kentucky with degrees from Murray State University and Western Kentucky University. She is very involved in her church which her husband pastors.   She enjoys teaching and challenging students to think.


Science is taught by Ms. Kieffer, a graduate of State University College at Buffalo, and Canisius College.  She is originally from Buffalo, New York and has five years of teaching experience.  She enjoys playing golf, tennis and the piano.  She has been a figure skater and dancer. 

Social Studies is taught by Mr. Anderson. In addition to being a devoted family man he is very involved in the youth program at his church and spends his summer vacations working at youth ministry camps.
