EC Program

During the past several months, a steering committee has been completing work on the Continuous Improvement Performance Plan, which is a self study of our Exceptional Childrens Department here at DTMS. This effort has been a follow up to similar work that was done last school year. The purpose of the Continuous Improvement Performance Plan is to determine strengths and weaknesses of the EC program and to create a plan to address the identified needs. The steering committee was comprised of the administration, the EC staff, a regular education teacher, a DTMS student, a DTMS parent, and a community leader.

A copy of the entire document, which has been sent to the Department of Public Instruction for review, is available in the front office. DTMS constantly strives to provide the best education possible for all of its students. CIPP will be an ongoing process to insure that our EC students continue to receive excellent instruction tailored to their specific needs.
